All the above activities are compulsion which are a result of 
obsession. A obsessed person is one whose is stuck in some things, 
he has made them a habit. He doesn't know the world outside these
 things. Obsessions can have productive or unproductive effects
on the person depending on what he is obsessed with.
Obsessions if unproductive can have  disastrous effects.
